[Alphabet]

Good evening everyone! Happy Halloween!

For several months now, I have been leading a guild called [Alphabet] in  Elsword NA. Please feel free to visit our guild thread: [Alphabet] Recruitment Page (PVE)! When I was playing Fiesta, I was usually an admin. Honestly, I was scared of leading a guild on my own. I had one attempt of being a guild leader, but it failed and was not for me at that time. Fast forward to the present, and I can say with confidence that I was able to successfully lead a guild in the land of Elrios. In this post, I just wanted to highlight my experiences and what I learned from being the guild leader of [Alphabet].

The time I spent in Fiesta gave me great examples of what I thought made a good guild leader. One guild leader I knew had one of the top guilds. He focused on the guild culture and harmony. Another guild leader I respected had a vision and set the example for many guilds. I wanted to create something wonderful just like these exceptional guild leaders had. With my guild, I focused on a positive environment for people to grow and also to create lasting bonds with each other. I believed the experiences you share with other was more valuable than the material goods earned in-game. At first, I didn't think anyone would want to be a part of it. However, with patience, I found the right members who wanted to be a part of the guild's vision. It made me feel proud and extremely happy to have members to take care of and educate.

However, not every day was wonderful. I had to struggle with keeping the guild active when school started for many of my members. I was worried and not too sure of how I can combat this issue. I thought all my hard work would eventually amount to nothing. I tried everything I could think of. I did more events, recruited lots of members in many different possible ways, and I tried my best to be active. Yet, I had trouble and felt lonely at times. With my guild members in mind, I kept going and slowly it improved, but remains a large issue with not only my guild, but for many guilds in Elrios.

From what I learned about being a guild leader is that you need to set the example for everyone. If not, then guild members will follow by example. Also, trust is very important to work on. Without trust, a positive community is difficult to maintain. Guild members will not progress as well as the guild itself. Finally, it is most important to have some fun! The main reason for creating a guild is to meet new people and create wonderful memories together. With these in mind, I will continue to work hard to achieve our goals as a guild. It feels wonderful to be a part of something greater than myself. Recently, I received a kind message from one of the admins and it made my day. It made me feel that I have accomplished something.

Since the very first time I started playing Fiesta, I noticed I have changed as a person. I am more confident and I never thought I could do something like this, but yet I was able to. I previously thought that if my guild becomes inactive, then all my work would be for nothing. However, as I consider the thought more, actually I accomplished a lot with my guild and made personal changes to myself. I was able to reach not only my goals, but also to create wonderful memories with my guild members. In the end, as I believe it to be true and as our guild philosophy, it is the memories that matter the most. All good things will eventually come to an end, but memories are something you will keep and treasure as you move along in your journey.

Mahalo (Thanks),
PlumBomb

Hidden Treasure in the Land of Nasods

Constant conflicts arise. Everyday I receive never ending requests from villagers. Sometimes, I just need a place to be alone and to recharge my energy. During my time in Altera, I was able to find such a place:

Hidden in the land of Nasods, Ponggo's Hideout! Not many adventurers visit this area. Whenever I'm stressed out, I hide here. The sound of the realistic waterfalls, the emptiness, and the floating rock of advertisements relaxes me. There are times where I just AFK for hours and hours here sleeping next to my purple fairy pet, AcaiBomb. She tends to be a little cranky at times. I think it's about time for me to sleep now...

Exploring Elrios

Aloha everyone!

It has been toooooo long. Don't you agree? I miss posting on this blog. For almost half a year, I have been playing a game called Elsword.

I was somewhat skeptical about moving forward with this game. It is a 2D game and the characters are gender-locked. I had my doubts, but I stuck through with it. I grew interested in each character and their stories. Where I had my doubts, eventually I changed my perspective and it is what makes this game unique.

My main focus was on the community aspect of this game. It was not the best community there is and I felt that there could be some improvements. Fiesta had a community that stayed with me long after I quit. I sincerely miss those days when I played on my elf on Fiesta. What I hope to achieve in this game is to make a small impact or dent. I would like for everyone I meet to have a wonderful experience (even if just for a minute) just like I had in my previous game. And so, my journey began 6 months ago...

After whizzing past wizards and conquering dragons in Isya, I grew bored. I walked a path with no direction. The bright lights of the futuristic land of Elrios captured the lights of my eyes. It was a vast land where robots roamed and new demons emerged. The feeling was strong in me and I knew where I had to go. For me, it was like moving from one elementary school to another. The environment was different, but the things I learned in my previous school were useful. With my previous knowledge of archery in Fiesta, I took the path with the bow and arrow. My aim in this game was still slightly blurry, but I had a feeling of what I wanted to do. I believed that if I kept exploring Elrios I would eventually find something like the Bijou server of Fiesta, something special.

New Game: Aura Kingdom/Fantasy Frontier

Good morning!

Long time no see... I graduated from my university a few months ago. I have more free time now. Yay! I have not been playing Fiesta Online for awhile. Recently, I have been playing a game called Aura Kingdom (Fantasy Frontier) by Aeria Games. I am enjoying myself there. Maybe you guys might be interested in this game as much as I do. I created a small video of me soloing a dungeon called Miner's Steppe. My character is a grenadier/wizard named Mangobomb. I am level 49, I am currently in the guild called Beehive, and I am on the server Siren. Maybe I might see you guys there? Please enjoy the video!

The Return of the Crusader, Olivebomb!

Aloha everyone!

I have returned and I am slowly playing more and more these days. I am playing the new crusader class that was recently introduced to the game. Once you get a character to level 60, you can unlock this class. You start at level 60 with scrolls and a couple of other things. The crusader uses a one handed sword, but has no shield. Their skills are similar to other classes such as teleporting, healing, and magic based skills. How do I like it so far? It is awesome!

In PVE, I do not need SP stones. Crusaders use LP for skills instead which heal somewhat fast. However, if you are spamming skills, you may run out quickly. Crusaders can stay on the field for quite awhile and does not need to enter their mushroom. They have a slow healing skill called Lifeline. They save a lot on HP and SP stones. They also have a magic ranged skill called Light Blast. You can only cast it 9.0m away, but it is useful and many monsters are weak against magic attacks. Their defense is quite low, but the crusader makes it up with Light Blast and Lifeline. In parties, crusaders can play several roles. They can use Lifeline which can be combined with the cleric's slow healing skills. They have both magic based and physical based skills so they can pretty much do quite a lot of damage to many mobs. I think their main role in parties is to control mobs and be support in parties. They have an AOE skill called Advent which can stun mobs for about two seconds.

In PVP, I suppose crusaders can do some major damage on fighters with their magic skills and damage increasing buffs. I doubt that they will do much to stop clerics and all they can do is avoid clerics. Against trixters, crusaders have the advantage of distance. They also have a skill called light blink that they can use to teleport. Crusaders have low defense and an even more low magic defense and can be trouble against archers and mages. Crusaders do have healing skills and a buff to increase damage and they can also eliminate the distance advantage between the archers and mages. In these cases, it probably will be determined by who attacks who first. Crusaders have high magic and physical damage and a buff that can be deadly for a short amount of time. They also can evade other classes with Light Blink along with their healing abilities to escape when it is necessary.

My goal is to reach level 90 on Olivebomb to use the skills at that level. To all that are in Bijou, I may just see you around Isya! Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Evil Irritating Nub: In Search of The Legendary Nub

Cherrybomb: Nubs! D:<
Description: Evil Irritating Nub blog entry.
-------

Good evening fellow Isyans!

I decided to do some reconnaissance around Bijou in search of a legendary nub. I received urgent news from reliable sources that a legendary nub has graced Bijou with her presence. The last I heard about her was a rumor that an evil snowman worked with Santa Claus to capture her and imprisoned her in the year 2011. Of course, I didn't believe any of it was true until I saw her with my own eyes. So, I went on a journey to find her. As I logged on, I found one of her many nubnugget minions...
Could it be? Is that really you? Or am I dreaming?
Ok, well, my search for the legendary nub was such a disappointment for me... I mean she could have made it more challenging like her fun and challenging game, "Where's FatalLace?" I wanted it to be an adventure in where I either run past flying phouches, hide from mana sucking vampires, paddle on a special canoe on the lake of the dead, or fight barbie zombies that know karate. Instead, I find her sitting in her level 70 mushroom house next to the storage??? What? What? Ok, maybe it wasn't a dangerous adventure as I hope it would be, but I am glad I got to see her. By the way, how is Santa Claus? I haven't seen him in forever after being banned from the North Pole for causing Bijou so much trouble... (Of course, I do not regret my actions. It was, after all, Bijou's fault!)
This is too easy, Fatal. I found you... :/ Where is my prize?
There were a lot of things in my mind that I wanted to say... I wanted to know what she had been up to. I wanted to give her a hug, but unfortunately she was in her mushroom. I wanted to show her my Santa Claus pet that she gave me years ago, but she was in her mushroom. I never forgot that day... Most importantly, I wanted to apologize about something. For me, the experience was like seeing a celebrity, but she wasn't like in a guild tournament facing three people at once or soloing 1000s of creatures in her own unique way on her sharpshooter... NO! SHE WAS IN HER MUSHROOM SIPPING TEA NEXT TO THE STORAGE! Maybe she was plotting to rob the storage? Or maybe this was psychological warfare? AHHH! WHY THE MUSHROOM? *sigh* I need some tea... mind sharing some with me? *sips*

Instead of doing all of that, I decided to do this for her...
3... 2... 1... Tada!
Enjoy your floatation stone, Fatal! Bwhahaha!!!
WELCOME BACK, FATAL! YOU HAVE BEEN MISSED! PLEASE DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF STAYING INSIDE YOUR MUSHROOM!!!
<3

Sincerely,

Cherrybomb the Banned Bijouian Elf of Floatation Stones

Hello! Is anyone there?

Hello.

Long time no post! I don't know what to post. I just wanted to post something... What have I been up to? Nothing much. Just school and work. I work at a bookstore and I have been working for 8 months now. One goal I had in high school was to get a job, buy sparkcash, and rule the server Bijou. Instead, I am saving for a study abroad trip to Japan (I am going to either Rikkyo or Nagoya university) and that goal will have to wait for now unfortunately...

My time is limited. I only have free time on the weekends. On the weekdays, I am busy from 5am to 9pm. Right now, I am learning Japanese. My reason is because I want to become an English teacher in Japan. I have met people at my university that have made a huge impact on me, and I am interested in becoming a teacher. Teachers have always been my role models and have had a positive influence on me. Unfortunately, the situation for teachers here in Hawaii and throughout most schools here in America is not so good.

When I was in high school, I really enjoyed learning about the world. Understanding the world was my responsibility as a "global citizen." With a career as an English teacher, I am able to meet people from all over the world and I am able to understand them with my time spent with them. With language, I am able to understand the misunderstood. I am able to connect and make bonds with people. Fiesta is related to language in this way. While playing Fiesta, I was able to meet a diverse group of people and understand people different to me.

When I was playing Fiesta and learning Spanish, I was able to connect with many more people because of my effort in learning Spanish. It opened many opportunities for me. I was able to connect with my Puerto Rican friend more (and receive help on my Spanish homework haha) who is still causing havoc on Fiesta through Facebook. We don't talk much as we use to, but she will always have a special place in my heart.

Reflecting on my past, I am able to connect the dots and figure out how I arrived to the present. I know where I want to go and it was thanks to the things that have happened in my past. Fiesta being one of those connections...

Well, this was a really random post... I have to go buy my groceries. Groceries here in Hawaii is not so cheap for a college student working for minimum wage...

Respectfully,

Cherrybomb the Nub

Saturday Update: Hello! Busy Week...

Hello! I'm posting my Saturday Update a little earlier than when I usually post my Saturday Updates. Last week was a busy week for me. I went to some huge event, and I was introducing myself to many companies to try and get an internship. I'm also planning to study abroad next semester. I plan on going to Hong Kong or maybe even Taiwan. I want to improve my language skills, and also those countries have good food haha. I also like the music and English is also spoken in those countries. So, if I ever have any problem communicating, I can always speak in English. This past week, I had a mid-term, a quiz, and a test. I had to study many hours for those... Other school  related activities include visiting the financial aid office, scholarship office, and my counselor. Other responsibilities outside of school include plans to volunteer every month, attend events, club responsibilities, and prepare for interviews this month. I also had personal responsibilities such as my friends, exercise, and stocking up on food. As you can see, I am a little busy... I don't have time to be playing Fiesta, and if I did start playing again, I may get into a lot of trouble... I'm thinking I may stop posting Saturday Updates for now since I barely even play. It will be hard to not post my Saturday Updates. I love posting on this blog. QQ Well, have a good afternoon everyone. I hope all is well! If you ever have any troubles or concerns, please let me know and I will be glad to help. :)

Saturday Update: How is Everything?

Hello all!

It's been a busy week in real life. I have been meeting a lot of new people, and attending meetings for my career. I'm trying to get an internship at the moment. So far, I have no luck. I'm starting to find new things in life that are interesting. I'm also trying to strengthen my relationships with others. My experiences here in Fiesta has been a factor to this, and I'm thankful for the community-based game Fiesta. Well, see you all next week. I'm so busy! I have to study for a mid-term on Wednesday. Good night and aloha!

Saturday Update: Hello :)

How are you all? I am fine and doing good. I just had a lot of tests this past week, and I think I did great. I studied for hours and days and I knew the material. I have also been catching up with old friends from high school and trying to connect with some friends in college. It's always great to have at least one friend there with you in class. I had no one with me for some business event this week and I was all alone. I should have brought one friend, but oh well. I ended feeling like people are watching me and I acted like I was a part of the waiters lol. It's a great feeling to find some friends you haven't heard from for a long time and it brings back good memories. Anyway, I have done nothing in Fiesta. I don't really plan to and I'm not sure if I should continue. I will try to update as much as I can until I just forget about it all. Don't worry though, I'm not leaving just yet haha. The time will be right when the time is right. Good night and aloha! :]

Saturday Update: Heeeyyy... !

Hiya! *cleans off dust and spider webs off blog* I haven't gotten my battery yet. I think my parents will buy me a new laptop instead. I miss Fiesta so much! Haha... Well, how are you all? Oh yeah, President's Day this Monday! I just watched Underworld with my family, and I highly recommend it! I watched the other Underworld movies and I didn't really like them, but the one I watched was awesome and the movie was so entertaining. I didn't expect much, but it was worth the 10 dollars. Well, that Web Fiesta thing looks interesting and I can't wait to try it. Hmmm, I just realized that I have three tests next week... ugh. Well, I've got to go and study. See you all next week. :)

Good evening!

Well, not much going on this week. The battery for my laptop hasn't arrived  yet and I haven't been able to play. I also haven't been visiting my blog or the forums lately. I just had my first week of school and everything is prepared and I'm starting to study and get ready. I can start playing once I get my battery. Anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying the start of a new school year. If you don't have school, lucky you. =p Well, see you all next week. Good night!

Hey all. Hey Leynub!

Well, school is starting this Monday for me. I've been preparing by checking where my classes are, buying my school materials, and figuring out what time I should wake up. Preparing is very important for a great start and it would also be helpful in playing Fiesta. These past days have been horrible because of my wisdom teeth extraction. It takes me like one hour to eat a cup of saimin and 30 minutes for other meals. I can't brush my teeth properly without saliva coming out, and I can't eat the foods I want. From experience, I would just get use to it and adapt. I learned as much as I could from the Internet and one advice I have is if you ever have problems on the way, I would adapt and learn, and get used to it. Soon enough, you will be able to tackle the problem. Bad news that I have is that I haven't been able to play at all. The good news is that I am able to play the game while in school. I can only play in the morning and late at night. I took four classes this semester because five classes last semester was a bit stressful and expensive. So, yay! Other news that I have is that my computer's battery rant out. Bleh. Well, this problem will be resolved soon... so no problem. :]

Well, Happy Chinese New Years! Or Xin Nian Kuai Le! I think that's how you say it in Mandarin. In Cantonese, I think it would be Kung Hei Fat Choi! :]

Good evening.

Not much going on this week. I've been having a few problems with playing the game. I'm getting a lot of lag and it has stopped me from playing. There was a glitch in where you press C or open up the character screen and you would lag a lot. It was a huge issue, but I think that was fixed. I also had problems with riding the bird and ended up getting glitched. I think some people are even sent to jail sometimes because of the bird. Overall, I didn't feel like playing too much this week. Besides all the game issues, I am not sure what to do now. I'm thinking of playing Peachbomb and getting her to 110 maybe. I don't know. KKP is not recruiting that much, but there are somewhat new repeat quests for level 7x. I may try those. I guess I'm just a bit bored and a bit busy helping my mom get ready for a trip. I also have to go to dentist trips and get fillers and remove my wisdom teeth. Ugh... Well, anyway sorry that I don't have any pictures. I hope you all are having a great 2012. I will see you all next week! :]

Good evening. :]

This week was a fun week. I was able to get Guavabomb to level 70. It was sort of difficult, but I finally got there. I had some computer issues and the game is lagging a lot. I died numerous times. It was worse than the 9x grind lol. Anyway, let me share some of the pictures I've taken over the week. Enjoy!
In CC...
A good screenshot of my whole party. :]
Interesting costume.
Questing with a party at AEW.
So... many... spiders!
I love this arrangement. :]
Ewww... mage mobs!
This was a fast spider KQ.
Level 69! :]
After so many frustrating Spider KQs, I finally got my kill!
Getting trained... u.u
Look at him fly... like a male archer!
This dude needs some water.
I'm flying!!! Omg! This was added this week's maintenance with the Adealia expansion.
This was cool. :]
Glitched... =.=
The moon looks beautiful. Don't mind the de... sleeping dogs. =p
Level 70!
Thanks for reading! I'll probably be at KKP KQ on my fighter next week. I hope KKP KQ will be recruiting because when I tried to join one, no one was really joining...*sigh* Well, have a good night sleep. See you all next week! :]

Happy New Years!

It's a new year! I'll make this post short as I want to celebrate my New Years and do the countdown haha... Here are some of the pictures I've taken over the week. Enjoy!
Some fun in AEW.
AFK death...
I found this interesting creature that looks like a snowman.
The reward I got for killing it was a healing item that looked like a treasure box.
Interesting picture.
I like this screenshot. :]

The buffing tree! I also got a buff from a cleric. Thanks!
Helping a friend with her CC repeat.
I like his mask.
That concludes my pictures. I will list my goals in another post. Anyway, there's about 20 minutes left till it's 2012. I can't wait! I will see you all next week with the start of a new year. Thanks for reading and have a good night sleep. :]

Saturday Update: Snow on Isya... Merry Christmas!

Hi guys, I have a few pictures and I have been playing a little over the week. Just now, I was at my family's party. I ate a lot and I'm a bit tired at the moment. I just arrived now and there's like seven minutes till the next day starts. Anyway, I will be editing this post later on with what has been happening over the week. See you all in a moment!

Edit: Well, here's my update!

I have been playing around with some of my characters and I was just checking out what's happening in my guild and what's happening in Bijou. There was an experience boost, drop boost, and KQ experience boost activated yesterday. It's a very good timing for me. I didn't really accomplish much this week as I've been resting most of the time this week, but I'm ready to start playing for real starting tomorrow. Anyway, here are a few pictures I've taken.
This was the first log in I have made after many weeks. I was surprised about the snow map change. I think it was implemented this Tuesday. It's very beautiful.
I still have my costume on Guavabomb from like a month ago.
Snow in Uruga.
Costume disappeared... it's very cold...
FOS KQ with my friend. Someone opened the gate too early. The glitch is still here...
We were able to pass the obstacle together.
Success! I've noticed that the big guy dies faster now. I'm guessing it's because of the LH weapons...
After KQ, I went to gamble, but I realized that I was short on cash...
For those who celebrate Christmas, merry Christmas! I really like the way the words look.
Thanks for reading. I plan to play my holy knight and my fighter. I'll be making another post of my goals soon. Happy holidays everyone and I will see you all next week. Bye!
